This section within the Demographic tab is where the patient’s general demographic information is stored. You are able to track the birthday, social security number, gender and race/ethnicity among other general demographic information such as phone numbers.
Also within this section is the patient’s location. Not only their address but this is also where your agency’s scheduling information is stored (patient’s scheduling zone, site, region & County code). Again, easily review any past information by utilizing the (H) History button where it appears.
Q:The patient no longer has a land-line and would only like to be contacted via their cell phone. How do I discontinue their home phone number and make their cell phone the primary phone number?
A: Select the patient’s home phone number that you’d like to discontinue and simply select the ‘Discontinue’ button from the lower left of the column. To make the cell phone the primary phone number, highlight the Mobile number and select ‘Edit’ from the bottom right, or double click on the phone number that you would like to edit and select the ‘Is Primary Phone Number’ check box.
Q: My patient has gotten married – How do I contribute that to their record?
A: Within the patient’s Demographic tab, utilize the drop down box labeled ‘Marital Status’ to select Married. Also – Be sure that the new spouse’s information is entered within the Friends and Family tab!
Q: The patient’s address was entered incorrectly – How do I make a simple correction?
A: Select the address listed under the Current Address and click ‘Edit’ or double click on the address and modify within the ‘Edit Location’ overlay. Be sure to hit ‘Save’ when you are done!
