As the new Conditions of Participation are quickly approaching with very weak direction from CMS in way of Interpretive Guidelines, it appears that they will in fact be implemented on January 13th of next year. Since their original release in early 2017, the MAX team has been planning for all aspects of the Conditions that the system can support and will soon be releasing details within a COPs overview document. While many agencies have already transitioned to MAX or will be doing so in early 2018, some have yet to make the move. For these agencies, please be aware that some Condition related items could be accommodated through system workarounds within Ubiquity; but we must take this opportunity to again remind users that Ubiquity systems will not receive enhancements related to the Conditions or any further regulatory requirements. We must encourage all agencies to explore a migration to the MAX system in order to remain compliant. If you have not already done so, contact us to discuss your agency’s transition in more detail. Also, be sure to visit the website (maxhcs.com) to learn more and watch a quick refresher of the system with the MAX demo video that is available.
